conscious ingredients Our basic skincare philosophy is oriented toward healthy skin. Just like our bodies experience optimum health by consuming nutrient dense foods, our skin benefits most from nutrient-dense products formulated with an abundance of antioxidant rich natural substances. Rather than using singular compounds which are extracted from natural extracts such as berries & fruits, we choose whole extracts as many naturally occuring substances have within them ingredients which provide a synergistic effect. We have chosen Amber bottles to protect the delicate extracts from exposure to light and to sustain their efficacy. Our products are created using organic, vegan certified, wildcrafted, and sustainably harvested ingredients as their base and then boosted with high performance cosmeceuticals and naturals, providing the perfect blend of nature and science. All products are Paraben, Sulfate and Phalate free. We use the least toxic preservatives, emulsifiers and stabilizers possible as well as only scenting with pure essential oils and naturally derived and formulated scent blends. When there is no organic option for any ingredient, the safest, purest food grade alternative is chosen. No artifical colors are added. Additionally, we stay on top of the latest skincare trends and optimize our formulas with cutting edge ingredients that get results. We have taken every effort to assure that our products are safe and highly effective.
conscious practices Unlike many product companies that simply purchase pre-packaged products and put their own label on them, each Dawn Lorraine Conscious Skincare product is handmade in a small woman owned company in the historic gold country town of Nevada City, CA. We take great care in choosing ingredients which provide the most benefit to the skin as well as taking into consideration the environment and social responsibility. From ingredients, to packaging to the reuse of all packing materials we receive we have strived to reduce, re-use and recycle at every step. Our ingredients and bases are manufactured in a facility that provides employment for disadvantaged and mentally disabled adults and their families and uses 100% renewable wind turbine energy, employing environmentally responsible practices wherever and whenever possible. We have also chosen single walled packaging options to reduce the amount of plastic used, our product jars are not made larger to trick you into thinking you are getting more.
